CIVILIZATION SCIENCE · FRAMEWORK 1.0

Can civilization become a cumulative science?

Civilization Science studies civilization as a complex adaptive system—linking cooperation, trust, effective energy, entropy, institutions, technology, and long-term continuity.

A research program, not an established scientific law. Its propositions are published for measurement, criticism, replication, and revision.
01

Field definition

01

From narrative alone to explicit, testable propositions

The field connects complex systems, computational social science, economics, institutional analysis, artificial intelligence, risk studies, and civilizational history. Its purpose is not to compress civilization into one equation, but to make consequential claims measurable and contestable.

02

Civilizational stability as a dynamic system

The initial framework examines how cooperation structures, trust fields, effective energy, and civilizational entropy interact across time and scale. The central stability expression is a hypothesis architecture—not a final law.

03

One field · Six research pillars · Forty core volumes

The program is organized around Civilizational Physics, Measurement and Early Warning, Life Continuity, Human–Agent Coordination, Meaning Economics, and Contribution and Value. Seven foundational books are complete; thirty-three volumes remain open.

02

Core questions

  1. 01

What makes a civilization stable, adaptive, and capable of long-term development?

  2. 02

How can cooperation, trust, effective energy, and entropy be operationally measured?

  3. 03

Which signals reveal systemic fragility before irreversible breakdown?

  4. 04

How should humans and AI agents coordinate, verify contribution, and distribute value?
